Currently I'm working in the mortgage collections industry. I started about a year ago. The team I worked on when I started was so aptly named "Seterus After Dark" by my boss because we started the latest (11:00am) and stayed the latest (8:00pm). Most of the time we were the last people to leave the building.
When he told me the team name, I immediately recalled an image of an old McDonald's ad from the 80s I think: "Mac Tonight."
So I borrowed from the illustration and adapted it to my own. This of course was done all in fun. I didn't get paid anything for it, in fact I paid for the printing myself. I just wanted to have something fun for our team. The illustration was the embodiment of our team spirit. We were laid back and tight-knit. We made a point to support each other and encourage each other. Of course, everything comes to an end at some time. Those of us who were Seterus After Dark are still close, but spread out. And of course, there is a lot of attrition in a call center. But we still have that bond. The banner has been passed on from team lead to team lead. Whichever early stage team is 11:00am-8:00pm is "Seterus After Dark."
